par·a·ble /ˈperəb(ə)l/
a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels.
Here we go. My intention with this blog is to offer the reader a simple devotional look at the Parables of Jesus Christ. I hope each will come to you in the Holy Spirit’s love, power, and humility. Unfortunately, I don’t really possess these qualities, but I know that these words of Jesus do. But you must know, in order to receive from him, you’ll need to make sure your own heart is right–and be teachable.

These will come in no real order, but Parables 101 should introduce you (again, maybe?) to these wonderful stories that are heavily packed with God’s power. I’m convinced that they’re fully inspired, and they carry divine weight. Maybe these posts will be your springboard into something deeper? I hope so.
I chose the name of this blog intentionally: Parables–Jesus’ stories and lessons. And 101, as the designation of a beginning college course. Parables 101 is only the starting point of a study. My heart is that you begin (again) to grasp what the Lord Jesus Christ offers each disciple who earnestly comes to learn.
Obviously, the Holy Spirit is critical, and I would be very foolish if I didn’t recognize this. As his student, Parables 101 must be simple and concise, and yet saturated with him. Any light you receive will be his alone. I truly believe this.
Anything good will be exclusively him, and I own the rest (smile.)
I love you in Christ.
